Coffee Society Social
The first Stage social for this academic year in collaboration with LUU Coffee Society.
There will be a whole load of coffee and equipment for you to try, including a chance to try the commercial gear that we run in the shop day to day. If you're got your own gear you want to show off, or coffee you want to share, please bring it all along!
This event is for Coffee Soc members only, so be sure to get yourself a membership beforehand.
Booking details coming soon.
James Hoffman's "The Fermentation Project"
Following on from the success of "The Decaf Project" in 2024, James Hoffman has this year collaborated with Lucia Solis to split a coffee lot and apply four different processing methods to it.
Limited coffee was available, and again as in 2024 we're hosting an event so that as many people as possible can give it a try.
We'll be tasting the selection of coffees roasted by Skylark coffee (based in Brighton).
Event rescheduled for the 24th October

An Overly Oaty Occasion
Date TBC
Like oat milk? Hate oat milk?
There's absolutely loads out there are all of it tastes a bit different. We want to establish (through the power of getting a load of people to try a load of oat milk), which oat milks are best, and for what.
Tasting will be done blind, there will be a range of oat, and maybe a wildcard or two.

Saturday Slurpfest at Stage with Outpost Coffee
Slurpfest comes to Leeds for the first time, and on Saturday we've got the Outpost Coffee team taking over our bar, bringing a range of coffees for your tasting pleasure. We'll have a blind tasting competition running throughout the day where anyone can win a prize by matching up what they're tasting. We're then staying open late for a chill evening of bakes, brews, and board games.
Slurpfest Leeds Coffee Trail
This week is the inaugural Leeds edition of Slurpfest, a city wide festival celebrating coffee and all of the wonderful independents that make it.
From the 21st - 26th September you can collect a map from your favourite local independent, and then get trekking around as many shops as you can manage. Buy a drink from a venue and they'll mark them off on your map, and those with the most shops by the end of the week can win a prize!
Top tip - ask for decaf to help keep the shakes away. Stage always has a great decaf on espresso as well as at least one decaf option on filter, both available all day every day.
